Baseball to play Cougars World Series during final week of fall season

DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett baseball team will wrap up its fall season this week, but not before the team holds its first ever Cougars World Series. The best-of-three series between the Blue and Gold teams will begin on Tuesday at 3:30 p.m. at Owen-Fulton Field.
The Gold team, coached by Jon Walker, will face off against the Blue team, guided by Justin Crowl. The teams will play nine-inning games Tuesday, Wednesday and Friday at 3:30 p.m. The event is open to the public and fans are encouraged to attend.
