DANVILLE, Va. — Averett earned the fourth seed in the USA South Conference Tournament, which begins next week. The Cougars (9-7-1, 3-3-0 USA South) will host fifth-seeded Greensboro College on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. at the Cougar Den.
The Cougars earned the right to host their first conference tournament game in the program's history. Averett is enjoying its best season since winning 11 games in 1998, and its three conference victories are its most since 2000.
Averett defeated Greensboro 3-1 on Oct. 14. Prior to that win, the Cougars had lost their last 20 meetings with the Pride.
