FAYETTEVILLE, N.C. — Twelve Averett players were selected to 14 positions on the USA South All-Conference Team, the conference announced on Wednesday.
Senior Mario Huffman was a first team linebacker selection for the second consecutive season, while junior Jeremy Dixon was a first team return specialist pick.
Averett had five second team selections, including senior Anthony Squillini, who was a second team wide receiver and a second team return specialist. Also joining Squillini on the all-conference second team were senior fullback Dontavious Watson, junior quarterback Cody Ladutko and senior offensive lineman Shannon Robinson.
In addition to being a first team return specialist, Dixon was also an honorable mention wide receiver. Also joining him on the honorable mention team were junior offensive linemen Phil Blaising and Kevin Roberts, senior linebacker Zane Cooper, sophomore defensive lineman Albert Brown, junior linebacker Logan Smyth and senior defensive back Frederick Reid.
