Fourth-seeded Averett (10-7-1) faces off with top-seeded Christopher Newport University (16-2) in the USA South Conference Tournament semifinals on Friday at 5 p.m. at the Smith River Sports Complex in Martinsville, Va.
Averett defeated Greensboro 6-2 in the USA South quarterfinals on Tuesday. It was the Cougars' first ever win in the conference tournament.
Admission for the game is $6 for adults and $3 for students, faculty, staff and children. Admission for Averett students with student IDs will be covered by Student Activities.
