• Click on the link "Free video webcast"
• A new window will pop up. Click “Add to Cart”
• If you are registered with Penn Atlantic, enter your email address and password to continue. If you are not registered with Penn Atlantic, there is a link at the bottom to register. Just complete those steps to register. It is free to register.
• “Fall Commencement Exercises at Averett University Special Event” should be selected. Click “Checkout” to continue.
• On the next screen, click “Proceed”
• On the next screen, click “View Now” to the right of where the game is listed. Windows Media Player will open and display the graduation ceremony.

Directions to Grant Center
Averett University will offer a live video webcast of the school's Dec. 12 commencement. The webcast is free of charge, but users must register in order to log in (See directions on right side of this page).
The Rev. John V. Upton Jr. will deliver Averett's commencement address at 10:30 a.m. at its E. Stuart James Grant Center on the university's North Campus. Upton, a 1974 graduate, will address the more than 300 graduates during the ceremony. Commencement will be Webcast. To listen online go to www.averettcougars.com and click Listen Live.
Upton was recently named president elect of the Baptist World Alliance (BWA). Upon his confirmation in 2010, he will serve a five year term. He is currently the executive director of the Baptist General Association of Virginia (BGAV) and the Virginia Baptist Mission Board (VBMB). He was elected director of the BGAV and the VBMB in November 2001 and assumed his duties in March 2002.
Prior to taking over as executive director of the BGAV, Upton served as group leader of Mission Mobilization Group from 1995-2002 and served as a missionary to Taiwan from 1986-1991. He served as pastor of several churches including Lake Shore Baptist Church in Waco, Texas; Colts Neck Baptist in Colts Neck, N.J.; and Urbanna Baptist Church in Urbanna.
