DANVILLE, Va. — Former Purdue basketball coach Gene Keady was the guest speaker as Averett University honored its student-athletes at year-end athletics banquet Tuesday night at the Grant Center.
Following a keynote address from Keady, Averett's staff and coaches recognized their players with awards. Vice President of Student Services
Charles Harris presented
Nathan Woodruff with the Campbell Sportsmanship award. The night concluded with Averett President Dr.
Tiffany Franks presenting the Female Athleted of the Year award to
Meredith Schwane and the Tommy Foster Male Athlete of the Year award to
Jonathan Rumley.
