FARMVILLE, Va. — Averett dropped a non-conference match 9-0 to Division I Longwood University on Tuesday.

Averett (0-2) had its best showing at the No.3 singles. Freshman Kiril Orlov lost the tiebreaker 10-4 to drop the first set 7-6 to Longwood's David Cardoso. Cardoso took the second second 6-2 to seal the win.
