ROCKY MOUNT, N.C. — N.C. Wesleyan College defeated Averett 9-0 in USA South Conference men's tennis action on Saturday.

N.C. Wesleyan (8-1, 2-0 USA South) swept all six singles matches, as well as all three doubles matches.

Averett freshman Kiril Orlov gave N.C. Wesleyan's Kalle Nikunen trouble at the No. 1 singles. After Nikunen won the first set 6-2, he held off Orlov 7-5 in the second set.

The Cougars (2-5, 1-1 USA South) had won two in a row before losing to the Bishops.
