Dear Cougars fans, the Tuesday 12 is a new feature this year on AverettCougars.com that will appear weekly. Each week, we will have a different student-athlete answer 12 questions. Our first edition features Melvin Wilcox, a senior offensive lineman on the Averett football team.
1: Who has influenced you the most in your life?
MW: My family, mostly my mom. They tell me everything the way I need to hear it.
2. If you had 24 hours to live, what would you do?
MW: I'd spend that time with my family and friends.
3. If one song could describe your life, what would it be?
MW: "Rain Down on Me" by Kirk Franklin
4. What is the weirdest thing you’ve ever done?
MW: Let my cereal get soggy, then eat it
5. Where would you like to visit the most?
MW: Africa
6. What is your favorite movie?
MW: Full Metal Jacket
7. What are the five most important things in your life?
MW: Family, God, school, football and FOOD!!!
8. If you could give the world one piece of advice, what would it be?
MW: Do what makes you happy
9. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?
MW: Nothing, I love me some me.
10. Who is your favorite music artist to listen to before a game?
MW: Disturbed
11. What is your favorite take-out food place?
MW: Wing Stop
12. If you could meet one person, dead or alive, who would it be?
MW: I don't get star struck, but I would want to meet Jesus.
