MEN'S SOCCER AT HAMPDEN-SYDNEY COLLEGE
The Averett men's soccer team kicks off its 2010 campaign on the road at Hampden-Sydney College, the Old Dominion Athletic Conference preseason favorite, at 4 p.m.
Averett is coming off a 10-8-1 performance in 2009, which saw the Cougars advance to the USA South Conference Tournament semifinals. The Cougars will try to build upon that success with a host of young talent.

WOMEN'S SOCCER AT RANDOLPH-MACON COLLEGE
The Averett women's soccer squad begins the 2010 schedule with a 4 p.m. road contest at Randolph-Macon College, which was picked fifth in the ODAC preseason poll.
The Cougars brought in a talented recruiting class to help them build on last year's 7-10-1 record. Averett was picked sixth in the USA South Conference.

Averett's volleyball team opens its 2010 season at Sweet Briar College on Wednesday at 7 p.m. The Cougars were picked second in the USA South Conference preseason poll and look to build upon their 23-15 season a year ago.
