DANVILLE, Va. — The Averett University men's and women's soccer teams are hosting their Kick Pink matches on Friday, Oct. 23, when the Cougars face off with Covenant College at Daly Field.
The squads will sell long-sleeve dri-fit shirts for $15 (cash only) at the concession stand during both games in an effort to raise money to provide financial assistance for local cancer patients. All proceeds will go to the Danville Cancer Association, and cash donations will also be accepted. The women's team will wear a jersey version of the shirts they are selling during its match with the Scots.
The women's game begins at 4 p.m. with the men to follow at 6:30 p.m. as both teams take on conference opponent Covenant College.
